If you don’t drink enough water then your baby won’t have enough amniotic fluid in which to develop. As well as being essential for your baby, water helps to keep you from swelling, reduces the risk of deformities and premature labour and helps reduce the fatigue commonly associated with pregnancy.

3 – Any good pregnancy diet plan should be as free as possible from gluten containing grains such as wheat. You should eliminate soy from your diet. This can be difficult to do as so many everyday foods contain these ingredients. Your diet should be as natural as possible. A natural diet is one without any processed foods that are low on nutrients and contain chemical additives. You should pay attention to your sugar intake and limit foods with added sugar.

4 – Don’t go hungry! A pregnancy diet plan should never leave you feeling hungry. Going without food for too long can cause your blood sugar levels to spike. You should make sure that you have regular nutritious snacks between your main meals. Try nuts, seeds and fruit.
